Summer 2011 marked the very first storm chasing credit-bearing course at Brockport. Just a few weeks before the group embarked, there were multiple tornadoes that touched down in the midwest; however, during the two weeks that the group travelled, there were no tornado sightings. The students learned how to set up the portable weather instruments and were able to analyze data from severe weather systems nearby. During fair weather, the group visited national monuments and parks in the area. Below are some of the photos of this first trip.
