STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS TO PRESENT AT CONFERENCES
2006-07
| Purpose: | To provide support for SUNY Brockport students to present at academic conferences with SUNY Brockport faculty/staff members. |
| Eligibility: | All SUNY Brockport students - undergraduate and graduate, full and part-time are eligible to apply for these funds provided by BSG and administered by the Office of Academic Affairs. |
| Students must be presenting at a conference with a SUNY Brockport faculty/staff member that will take place between September 1, 2006 - June 30, 2007. | |
| If you receive an award you are expected to aslo present you paper at SUNY Brockport's Scholars Day 2007 on April 11 if you are a student at the time. | |
| Note: students presenting at the National Council on Undergraduate Research Annual Conference should not apply for these funds. Separate funds are availalbe for that program. | |
| Eligible Activities: | Student travel and related costs (food, lodging, registration fees, preparation of posters) are eligible for support. |
| Amount of Grant: | Up to $400 per student is available once per year. |
| Available Funds: | This is a competitive program. Funds are contributed by BSG and Academic Affairs to support this program. |
| Payment if a Grant is Awarded: | If you receive a grant, payment will be made upon receipt of original receipts for costs. Your award letter will contain specific information. |
Deadline for Proposal Submission: October 2, November 6, December 4, 2006 and February 12, March 5, April 2 and May 1, 2007.
When to Apply: Applications must be submitted a minimum of one month in advance of the conference. You are encouraged to apply well in advance if possible to assure the availability of funds. Applications will not be accepted if submitted after attending a conference.

REVIEW PROCESS FOR STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS
Your proposal will be reviewed by a committee of eight people consisting of four faculty each appointed by one of the three academic school Deans and four BSG Board members.
