eCommunicating with Prospective Students 11 am - noon Drake 30 New this month! This session will explore how Undergraduate Admissions communicates with prospective students through multiple online sources -- including their Customer Relationship Management tool (Hobsons), website, social media, and college search partners. Kara Ricotta, eRecruitment Advisor, will discuss how they have implemented an integrated marketing plan to cover the various aspects of the Admissions funnel and recruitment cycle. The session will address challenges faced with communicating to various audiences, reaching "secret shoppers", managing multiple channels of electronic communications, and linking print and electronic communications into one segmented plan

Resume Writing Workshop 1:30 pm - 3 pm Drake 53 All fall 2014 Student Teaching Candidates are required to attend a Resume Writing Workshop.
ANGEL Basic 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Edwards 100B This workshop is designed to assist you in getting started with ANGEL, and blends demonstration with hands-on training time. It begins with a discussion of using ANGEL to web-enhance traditional courses effectively. Topics covered include posting your syllabus, communicating with your class online, creating a course calendar and loading basic course content.
The Nuts and Bolts of Teaching at Brockport for New Faculty 3 pm - 4:30 pm 100B Edwards Hall Intended for new part-time and full-time faculty, this session will cover the following topics: the preparation of course syllabi and some required content for syllabi, campus rules on adds, drops, withdrawals, policies regarding students with disabilities, the College dishonesty policy and reporting of dishonesty, appeals of grades and attendance policies, dealing with disruptive students, and other similar policies. Participants will also be given information on how CELT can help them improve their teaching practices.
