Facilities and Planning

State Assets

All State-owned equipment (Group 3/moveable) with a unit original cost of $5,000 and over and a life expectancy of two years or more.

Includes equipment acquired from:

  • All State fund sources. For example, Operating, Operating Replacement, COP, (see memo #2) Capital Dorm Authority, Income Fund Reimbursable (IFR, DIFR, etc.).
  • State-owned assets used by Brockport Auxiliary Service Corporations (BASCs).
  • Gifts to the State (campus) subject to gift acceptance procedures.
  • It also includes: Equipment located on campus or at off campus sites.
  • Equipment on loan to or from another institution.
  • Fabricated equipment.
  • Equipment received from surplus.
  • Artwork/antiques.
State University Research Foundation Assets (SURF)

All equipment acquired with sponsor or SURF funds with a unit original cost of $5,000 and over and a life expectancy of one year or more.

Brockport Auxiliary Services Corporation (BASC) and Other Affiliates

These units are responsible for maintaining accountability for their assets. EXCLUSIONS FROM PCS
  • Personal property
  • Supplies
  • Library books and livestock
  • Land, buildings, site improvements
  • Built-in (Group 1 and 2) equipment
  • Computer software
  • Equipment with a value under $5,000
