A native of Millville, NJ, Tom Dreyer received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Virginia and was commissioned an officer in the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps. He earned a Master's Degree in Construction Management from Penn State University and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Tom has been with The College at Brockport since the fall of 2000. For over 30 years, Tom has served in facility maintenance, construction, and capital program management positions. He came to the Brockport Campus from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Naval Shipyard where he completed his Navy career as a Captain.
As the Assistant Vice President for Facilities and Planning with a staff of about 180 dedicated employees, Tom oversees the upkeep and improvements to the entire physical plant and its infrastructure. The Campus has 2.6 million square feet in 77 buildings and over 400 acres. The facilities organization has four directors who address: Support Services (administration, budget, material, service center, mail, shipping and receiving, etc.); Utilities (commodity, conservation, HVAC, and electrical repairs/distribution); Maintenance and Operations (routine maintenance and repair, housekeeping, grounds, moving and small projects); and, Planning and Capital Programs (master planning, designs, and major construction).
