Small Claims

Accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time while on campus or visiting one of the College's satellite sites. In the event that you or your property have sustained injury/damage, the State University of New York has developed procedures for handling small claims.

Small claims is divided in to two separate categories: claims of $250 or less and claims from $250.01 to $5,000. The claimant should select the appropriate procedure and forms that are applicable to their individual situation. Below are some links to assist you with small claims.
