The College at Brockport, SUNY Swim team participated in the 19th Annual International Coastal Cleanup. Over 250 participants this year cleaned nearly 2 miles of Lake Ontario shoreline!
The College at Brockport, SUNY is a leader in environmental sustainability due to its energy saving programs and willingness to use green design for new construction. The Green Campus Initiative was created in 2004 spearheaded by faculty, staff and students who wanted to see the campus become more sustainable for future generations. The Managing Environmental Health and Safety Committee is also committed to the Green Campus Initiative and together have created several protocols for recycling, creation of biodiesel fuels and feasibility studies of alternative energy sources.
