Physics Alum Gives Back in Honor of Richard “Dick” Mancuso
Brockport Foundation Board member, Chris Leichtweis '83, has made a gift of $20,000 to the Dr. Richard Mancuso Research Award in Physics. This gift will go toward permanently endowing the Mancuso Award. Chris has generously supported the Mancuso Award since 2005, providing the private support needed to ensure that students have access to research opportunities. “Dr. Mac was very special as a professor and as a friend,” says Chris. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the value of my Brockport education. Giving back is very important to me.”
Chris is the CEO of Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC), which is headquartered in Knoxville, TN. He is also the president of Homeland Security Capital Corporation (HOMS), which is SEC’s parent company. In addition to his service on the Brockport Foundation board, Chris is also a member of the Campaign Steering Committee.
