Ways to Give
One hundred percent of your gift, regardless of its amount, benefits students at The College at Brockport. Your generosity ensures that the College will be well-prepared to send its graduates into the world ready to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Won’t you be one of the thousands of alumni, student families, faculty and friends who make a gift to the Brockport Foundation this year?
There are many ways to support The College at Brockport and one of them is likely to fit your lifestyle and philanthropic goals. However, we recognize that this is a very personal decision and we encourage you to contact us to discuss the options that will work best for you. Annual Gifts
All gifts to the annual fund make a difference in the live of all students at The College at Brockport. Annual gifts are raised through several campaigns, including the Phonathon, the Faculty/Staff Campaign, the Emeriti Campaign, and other special initiatives.
-
Matching Gifts
Many companies and foundations match their employees gifts to charitable organizations. Do you know if your organization does? If they do, your company may double – or even triple – your gift to the Brockport College Annual Fund. Contact your personnel office to see if your employer participates in the matching gift program or search for your company now.
-
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Gifts which honor living individuals or deceased friends or loved ones are gratefully accepted. Such contributions are often used to reflect the interests or talents of the person being honored. Any gift may be designated in memory or in honor of a loved one.
-
Planned and Deferred Gifts
Planned giving can be an attractive giving option to many donors. With a planned gift,
the donor designates a specific amount of money, a percentage of their estate, or the remainder of an estate after other bequests are satisfied to the College. Adding a codicil to an existing will is a simple process that begins by making your intentions known to your attorney. -
Endowed Gifts
Endowed gifts are the best way to make a lasting difference for the College and our students. Many donors choose to endow scholarships although it is common to endow chairs, professorships, events, and other activities. When an endowment is created, the principal is invested for perpetuity through the Brockport Foundation. The proceeds of that investment are generally paid out annually as stipulated by the fund agreement. Currently, a minimum of $20,000 is needed to endow a $1,000 annual scholarship.
