The Master's Level Graduate Research Conference is supported by the Office of Graduate Studies.
This poster reviews the effects of having pets in the classroom. It looks at the influence pets have on the dynamics of both the classroom environment and possibilities of curriculum enhancement. The impact of pets on individual students in the classroom setting is also considered in this review. This poster has tips on selecting the appropriate pet for your classroom and potential benefits and concerns of various species. It also explores the different types of Animal Assisted Therapy that can be used in a classroom setting to aid in students’ growth and development.
