The Master's Level Graduate Research Conference is supported by the Office of Graduate Studies.
Do couples equate relationship satisfaction with sexual satisfaction? In exploring the existing research, we sought to improve the understanding social workers have on the impact all aspects of satisfaction have on a couple. The research indicates that sexuality in a relationship can be influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. Men and women in a relationship also have differing expectations of sexual satisfaction in a relationship. Social workers should have a good understanding of all of the factors involved in satisfaction before conducting relationship or sex therapy.
