Session I - Session II - Session III

Observing the Correlation between Physical and Mental Health and An Older Adult’s Interest in Recreational and Multigenerational Activities

The purpose of this research project is to explore the physical and mental health challenges of older adults living in both assisted and independent living settings and how these challenges affect their interest and/or participation in recreational and multigenerational activities. Specifically, this study will determine if there is a correlation between physical health, mental health, and interest and/or participation in recreational and intergenerational activities. This study seeks to answer the following questions: What are the mental and physical challenges of older adults living in both dependent and independent living communities? Is there a correlation between physical and mental health challenges and one’s interest in multigenerational and recreational activities?
