This poster presents the variety of elements existent with in the different versions of the story of the formation of the Iroquois Confederacy, found within their cultures oral tradition. These elements include supernatural themes, iconic figures such as Hiawatha, and the difference in the occurrence of important events. This poster also tells a story, the story of Deganawida the Peacemaker, his disciple Hiawatha, and their great enemy Tadodaho. It Brings together all of the variables to present one cohesive and coherent account of the lives and actions of these revered legends. This poster will also address the current legacies that these historic figures have left behind especially the Tadodaho. Primary focus will be placed on religious and supernatural aspects of the story and the Iroquois culture.
