Graduate Assistantships

Graduate and research assistantships give you the best of both worlds—you get to work closely with faculty within your discipline and get paid for it. These positions usually come in the form of a teaching assistantship (T.A.), graduate assistantship (G.A.) or research assistantship. Brockport has a limited number of positions available, so they are highly competitive. Stipends vary, and placement is at the discretion of your program director. Assistantships take extra time and energy above and beyond your studies, but they're a great way to offset tuition fees and advance your professional experience. Contact your program department to find out more.
