Daniela Bulos understands that only part of her Brockport education takes place inside the classroom. The junior psychology major participates in Brockport’s Leadership Development Program—a program designed to develop and sharpen key leadership skills so that students can discover their unlimited potential. “In the real world, you have to be able to work in a team. You need to be able to understand others," Daniela says. "The Leadership Development Program has taught me how to do that."
Students like Daniela will explore and articulate leadership concepts that promote a deeper understanding of individual, group and social characteristics and values. By giving students the opportunity to serve and improve the campus, local and global communities, they develop sound leadership principles. The skills Daniela learned through the leadership development program played a key role in her ability to serve as the vice president for the Association of Latino American Students (ALAS) as well as her position as a resident assistant.
