Video from Brockport's Commemoration for Haiti on February 1, 2011:
Rarely has a need been greater.
The College at Brockport is stepping up to the challenge by coordinating Collegewide efforts to aid the people of Haiti following the massive earth quake and unparalleled destruction of Port-au-Prince and surrounding area.
The Brockport Helping Haiti Committee is partnering with the American Red Cross and H.O.P.E. Haiti to meet the emergency and long-term needs of the survivors of Haiti.
Donation collection sites have been designated campuswide, information sessions are being organized, and the College community is coming together to raise critically needed funds for food, water, shelter, and medical supplies.
The Department of Community Development, Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program, Recreational Services, Residential Living/Learning Communities, Brockport Student Government, the Greek organizations, and campus clubs, as well as other areas of the College are making a commitment to the people of Haiti.
