is a clinical weight management program designed to help significantly overweight students enhance their overall health through weight loss and maintenance.
The program is confidential, non-judgmental and tailored to meet each person’s needs.
The goal of the program is to give participants an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage their weight.
There are three major components of the
program.
A Nurse Practitioner will perform a confidential physical exam to determine your current health status and ability to participate in the program
A certified Personal Trainer will help you design an individual exercise prescription that will meet your needs. A private exercise area at the Health Center will be provided for your use.
A registered dietitian will meet with you to give information on making health meal choices, portion control, how to eat healthy on a budget, and eating tips in the dining halls.
