Mission Statement

Providing quality outpatient medical services and enhancing the health and development of The College at Brockport students is the primary focus of the Student Health Center. Inherent in this is our desire to enable a diverse student population to pursue the primary goal of acquiring an education with minimal lost time or distraction due to physical or emotional issues.

Health Services

Health Services are provided through the mandatory Campus Health Center Fee. Students who have paid the Campus Health Center Fee are seen at no charge. The fee can be waived if all your classes are held when the Health Center is not open, or if your classes are held exclusively at off-campus locations. Students who have not paid a health fee will be assessed an office visit charge, including student teachers and students enrolled in off-campus internships.

For summer office visits: A $20 office visit charge will be placed on the student's account, if student is not registered for summer classes, but will be returning in the fall semester.

Health Center Clinic Hours

During the academic year:

  • Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:45 pm
  • Saturday, 10 am - 2 pm (We are closed Saturdays before breaks. Please call to verify Saturday hours during these times.)

Students are encouraged to make appointments, but can be seen during walk-in hours Monday-Friday 8 am - 11 am and Saturday 10 am - 2 pm. Appointments can be scheduled Monday - Friday 9 am - 4:15 pm. Emergencies will be evaluated as needed.

During Summer and mid-semester breaks:

  • Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm

Students are seen by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Walk-ins are taken in order of arrival or by degree of severity.  Appointments are encouraged.

When the Health Center is closed:

  • Medical care is available at Lakeside Memorial Hospital on a fee-for-service basis.

Services Received Outside the Health Center

Services received outside the Health Center (i.e. area hospitals/emergency rooms, laboratories, specialists) are not covered by the Health Fee, and are billed on a fee-for-service basis.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is required for all full-time undergraduate and graduate students attending The College at Brockport. Those students with coverage through a family or personal policy will be able to waive the college plan. Further information regarding the college policy and waiver process click here .

Health Promotions Programming

Health Promotions Programming for the campus is done through the Health Center. We have a wide variety of classes and projects each semester. Check The Stylus and College Events Calendar for information on upcoming programs. Most are free or at a reduced student rate. Please feel free to offer any suggestions you may have for program topics.
