William A. Stebbins Award in Health Science
Established in the memory of William Stebbins, who was the first chairman of the department. The award is to be given yearly to a senior health science professional major who is enrolled in both the school and community health programs.
The student is to have a 2.5 G.P.A. or better and to have demonstrated outstanding qualities in the performance of his or her major, both on campus and off campus. The student is also to have an exemplary character, particularly related to the health science profession.
Departmental Scholar Award
This award recognizes a senior health science major who has achieved outstanding scholarship. Departmental criteria are as follows:
William Hemmer Environmental Award
The purpose of this award is to honor a student who has successfully applied the principles of community action in working with concerned citizens in his/her campus and/or community to promote a more healthy environment. In addition, the student must:
