Dr. Donna Kowal (PhD University of Pittsburgh, 1996) has served as director since fall 2009, and previously as associate director since 2004. In addition to her work in the Honors Program, she is an associate professor in the Department of Communication at the College at Brockport. Her areas of teaching and research expertise include rhetorical theory, rhetorical criticism, and political communication. Dr. Kowal is a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Priya Banerjee (PhD Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, 1999) is the associate director of the Honors Program. In addition, she is also an associate professor in the Department of Health Science, at the College at Brockport. Her areas of teaching and research expertise include contemporary issues in health education, biostatistics and epidemiology methods, research methods in health promotion and global health.

Ms. Darlene Waters (Associate Degree, Genesee Community College, 2000) has served as Secretary of the Honors Program since 2001. In addition to providing professional support for the program’s administration, she works closely with students who utilize the services of the Honors Program office.
