Undergraduate admission to The College at Brockport is selective and competitive. Many things are considered during the application process, including your academic standing during your secondary education, test scores and supplemental application information, such as your autobiographical essay.

Typical freshman applicants have an above average academic record during their secondary education. The majority of accepted students have at least a ‘B’ average, many finishing in the top 24 percent of their graduating class.

International students are also required to show Proof of English proficiency. This is done through TOEFL or IELTS exams or other means as outlined below:

  • TOEFL minimum: 197 (computer based), 71 (internet based)
  • IELTS minimum band score: 6.0
  • SAT recommended, not required - minimum critical reading score of 430
  • English proficiency document may be sufficient.
