The Village of Brockport is a historic community located on the banks of the Erie Canal, a man-made waterway running through the state of New York. The Village's history dates back to the 1800s when it became a thriving center for agriculture and commerce as a result of the creation of the canal.
With its historic Victorian architecture, the Village features quaint shops, restaurants and a movie theater for Brockport students to enjoy. The Strand, an art-deco style movie theater, is a popular hangout for students wanting to see recently released movies. You can also visit one of the many restaurants lining Main Street, many of which accept EasyMoney, a spending account accessible through your College at Brockport EagleOne ID card.
The Erie Canal is still very much a part of the community, providing the opportunity for hiking, biking, boating and cross-country skiing. There are approximately 8,000 individuals who reside in the area and Brockport students are an active part of that community.
