Installing ConnectR for Outlook 2003
Note: These instructions only apply if you did not have Outlook configured before the migration. If you need your existing account re-configured, call the Help Desk at x5151 option 1.
Please log into Brockport webmail by using internet browser (Either Internet Explorer or Firefox) and go to https://mail.brockport.edu and log in using your NetID and password.
Next, in the top right corner there should be a link that says “Options”, click on it. From here a new menu will open up. On the left hand side there is a menu, and at the bottom it says “ConnectR”. Click on that link. You should see the following window:

Close Outlook 2003 if it is open. Also ensure in Brockport webmail that your calendar preferences are set correctly and the time zone is correct. Click on the blue link that says “ConnectR installer (ConnectR.msi)” to download the file, (if using Firefox, it is saved to the Desktop. If using IE, save it where you want). Run the “ConnectR.msi” file by double-clicking it.

Click ‘OK’.

Click ‘Next’.

Accept the terms of the license agreement and select ‘Next’.

This screen explains the ConnectR Add-in for Outlook 2003. Read and then click ‘Next’.

Leave this as the default install location. Click ‘Next’.

Click ‘Install’.
Click ‘Finish’ when the ConnectR Tool has been installed.
Configuring ConnectR tool for Outlook 2003
Open Outlook 2003, and you will be prompted with this screen:

In “User Name:” and “Password:” are the fields you need to enter for your Brockport NetID and password. “Server:” should be “mail.brockport.edu”. Ensure that the box is unchecked for “Use Secure Connection”. Click “Verify…” to ensure you typed everything in correctly. Your screen should look something like the screen below:

To synchronize you need to Click ‘Tools’ -> ‘Synchronize using ConnectR’.
