Q: Can I use the web version for both email and calendar?
A: Yes. Users may find that they prefer using the web version of email and calendar entirely. The web version is available to you from anywhere with an internet connection.
Q: Do I have to backup any of my email?
A: No. All email accounts are backed up.
Q: What email client programs will work with Webmail?
A: I.T.S. strongly encourages you to migrate to one of the supported email client programs, i.e., Outlook, Thunderbird, or Mac Mail. These modern client programs are more stable and secure than many of the outdated programs such as Netscape and Mozilla.
Q: Do I need to store Brockport email addresses in my contact list?
A: You can, but this is not necessary. There is a Global Directory that is accessible by everyone using Webmail and clients (on-campus). This global directory can be searched for any Brockport NetID. We recommend you use this instead and use your contacts to store information not found with netid@brockport.edu.
