How to Use This Search Page
To perform a search, simply type some words that reflect what you are looking for in one of the boxes and click the "Go" button to the right of that box. Each box will return results from a different search engine on the Internet. To go to the search engine's home page where you can often find more search options and help about that specific search engine, simply click the name of the search engine, which is underlined to the left of each box.
You will find that different search engines will often yield entirely different results. If you receive an abnormally large number of results, try thinking of as many words as possible that may be relevent.
Most search engines allow you to be even more specific by using phrases or specific words to include or exclude by adding certain operators to your search string. The operators that each search engine supports are to the right of the go button. These are extremely powerful tools that can be very useful.
To search for a document that contains the phrase, "i need help", surround your phrase by quotations (for those search engines that support this). Some search engines also allow you to be even more specific about your search by using various other operators such as and, or, not, or -, etc. to include or exclude specific words. For more information on using other operators, refer to the search engine's help section.
