Equipment Check Out Policies

  • Media Services equipment for classroom use/college-related events is loaned to faculty/staff only. Under special circumstances, other accommodations can be made with Media Services staff.

  • Due to the limited supply and high demand of some equipment, reservations are strongly suggested.

  • Media Services staff assumes that the user knows how to operate borrowed equipment. If this is not the case, training is available.

  • It is the responsibility of the user to return borrowed equipment on the agreed upon date. Overdue equipment directly affects availability to other faculty/staff.

  • Accessories (batteries, tapes, computer disks, etc.) are to be supplied by the user.

  • Set up, operation, and security of loaned equipment is the responsibility of the user.

  • Loan duration is based on availability and demand of equipment.

  • To prevent defective equipment from being further utilized, please report problems or difficulties as soon as possible.

  • Equipment loans for organizations including off-campus and community groups will be provided at the discretion of the Media Services staff. Media Services reserves the right to deny equipment loans to any organization based on equipment availability as it relates to academic priority. Equipment requests for instructional support have first priority. Terms of equipment loan to off-campus and community groups are consistent with Media Services' equipment loan policies.
