Terms of Use

NotifyLink enables real time synchronization of mail, calendar, contacts, and task information directly to a mobile device. NotifyLink can be installed on a mobile device that utilizes broadband access via a cell phone wireless signal. It is important that you have an unlimited data package in order to avoid data usage charges by your cell phone provider (Verizon Wireless, AT&T, etc.). Users will pay a fee of $120/year to cover NotifyLink licensing costs. Fees will be paid via journal transfer.

NotifyLink can support Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian and iPhone mobile devices. ITS recommends that you use a mobile device that supports either the Blackberry, Windows Mobile, or Palm operating systems only at this time.     Terms of Service:

  • ITS will only support College owned* mobile devices.
  • ITS only supports synchronization between the College mail server and mobile devices using the Notify Link client. Third party applications are not supported.
  • If ITS determines there to be a hardware issue with your mobile device, you will be directed to take the mobile device for service at your cell phone provider.
  • ITS does not support mobile device/cell phone accessories.
  • Personal email accounts or other data are not supported and may cause issues with data synchronizing between NotifyLink services and the mobile device.
  • Only one Brockport NetID may be designated to a mobile device using NotifyLink.
  • A mobile device that is lost or stolen must be reported to University Police, your department head, and the ITS Help Desk. ITS has the ability to remotely “wipe” NotifyLink data from any mobile device and must be notified of the situation immediately.
  • File attachments are not supported through NotifyLink.
  • Deleting mail using the NotifyLink client does not remove mail from the server. However calendar, contacts, and tasks will be deleted from the server.

*College owned refers to any equipment that was purchased by College funds. This includes Research Foundation and BASC entities.
