Important Information for Firefox Users
On Tuesday, June 17, the newest version of the popular web browser Mozilla Firefox became publicly available. While upgrades are a part of technology, it takes time for ITS to make sure that the new browser will work with all campus technology resources including ANGEL, Banner, Webmail, Library Database and Catalog Systems, and SUNY Admin Systems. At this time, we are asking users to postpone upgrading to Firefox 3 until we are certain that the browser is supported and certified by our vendors.
In short, ITS recommends that you do NOT upgrade your version of Mozilla Firefox if prompted. We will update this message as information changes. If you have any additional questions, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 585-395-5151 or helpdesk@brockport.edu.
