International Student Orientation

All new international students are required to attend the orientation programs coordinated by the Office of International Student Services (ISS) for the Fall and Spring semesters. The programs are designed to provide students with important information about immigration and visa regulations. The office provides an orientation to the College and the Village of Brockport, as well as facilitating an opportunity to meet and interact with members of the campus community.

Fall Orientation:

International students who have been admitted for the Fall 2008 semester are expected to arrive at the College no later than Monday, August 18, 2008 to begin a week-long period of orientation and course registration. Some graduate programs may require students to arrive somewhat earlier than this date. If you are planning to live off campus, we advise you to arrive prior to August 18th in order to locate housing. If you will be living in campus housing, we recommend that you bring a sheet, pillow case, pillow, blanket and towel with you for your first few days. Additional bedding may be purchased after your arrival. Classes begin on Monday, August 25, 2008.

Spring Orientation:

International students who have been admitted for the Spring 2009 semester are expected to arrive at the College no later than Tuesday, January 20, 2009, for orientation and registration activities. Some graduate programs may require students to arrive somewhat earlier than this date. If you are planning to live off campus, we advise you to arrive prior to January 20th in order to locate housing. If you will be living in campus housing, we recommend that you bring a sheet, pillow case, pillow, blanket and towel with you for your first few days. Additional bedding may be purchased after your arrival. Classes begin on Monday, January 26, 2009.
