Are you interested in working in higher education? Do you enjoy talking about your experience at Brockport as a student? If this describes you, then Undergraduate Admissions has an internship opportunity for you! As a Student Ambassador, you will speak with prospective students about your experience at Brockport and answer basic admissions related questions to inform students and families about what Brockport has to offer. We are looking for applicants with a wide variety of involvement on campus as well as a basic knowledge about what Brockport has to offer.
This experience is provided to students as a professional development opportunity. We are targeting students that are truly interested in working in higher education or looking for a great career building opportunity. Credit is not offered for student ambassadors, but there are opportunities to grow and move up in following semesters pending outstanding completion of one semester as a student ambassador.
Each student will be exposed to lots of professional development and experience that may be related to fields that you are pursuing at The College at Brockport. There will be a minimum of 30 hours required of each ambassador to complete by the end of semester. These hours will be fulfilled through different types of interact with prospective students such as Open Houses, daily visits, college fairs and high school visits. Each applicant should expect to be available at least three hours a week.
