At The College at Brockport, we offer numerous opportunities for students to gain professional experience that enhances their leadership skills. With positions in departments all over campus, there is sure to be something for everyone!

Student Health Advocates are dynamic undergraduate students who contribute to the Prevention and Outreach Services mission of Making Health Contagious on The College at Brockport campus. These students develop, facilitate, and assist in the assessment of campus-wide health programming, including Alcohol Awareness Week, Keep It Sexually Safe Week, Healthy Monday Events, Brockport Influencing Responsible Decisions (B.I.R.D.), Safe Spring Break and other outreach events.
Select Respect Peer Educators are dynamic undergraduate students who contribute to the Prevention and OutreachServices mission of Making Health Contagious on The College at Brockport campus. In collaboration with Prevention and Outreach Services professionals, graduate student staff, and campus and community partners, these students develop, implement, and assess peer-led programs related to building a campus culture of respect on topics including healthy relationships, sexual assault prevention, relationship violence prevention, rape culture, campus safety, and stalking prevention.
Late Night with Ellsworth Programming Assistants facilitate Late Night with Ellsworth events that contribute significantly to the creation of a healthy campus community, an engaged and involved student body, and a “weekend culture” at The College at Brockport. These students develop, facilitate, and assess social, recreational, and health-related programs on Friday and Saturdays

Golden EagleCHECK is an extension of the award-winning bystander intervention program, EagleCHECK. The original EagleCHECK program is an hour-long workshop delivered to all first year students during Welcome Weekend. Golden EagleCHECK, launched last year, is a program intended for motivated and caring students who want to step up and make a difference in their campus community. The program will consist of a series of seminars that will examine relevant history and the various applications of bystander interventions. Participants will also be trained to facilitate the original EagleCHECK program for incoming freshman the following fall.
Students in the program will attend three seminars to learn about bystander intervention from various speakers. Then, they will have the opportunity to facilitate EagleCHECK for incoming freshman during Welcome Weekend this fall. They will get paid $100 for their work and training that weekend.

The Conduct Board is responsible for hearing cases of students charged for potentially violating the College of Brockport’s Code of Student Conduct. Each Conduct Board consists of at least three thoroughly trained members drawn from the pool of faculty, staff and students. Upon review of a case, the board makes a determination as to whether or not a policy violation has occurred and recommends sanctions to the Student Conduct Coordinator. Sanctions range from an Official Warning up to and including Dismissal from the College.
In order to be considered for the Conduct Board, applicants must apply online. Final selection decisions are made based on the overall quality of the application, references and the individual interview. Candidates are informed of their status in a timely fashion and should be aware that this is a volunteer position.

The Summer Programs Assistant acts as a liaison between Conferences and Events and various summer camps and conference groups. The Assistant will provide support for summer groups from the final stages of planning to event completion. This includes assisting with logistical planning, registration/check-in, check-out, and onsite event support to ensure smooth and successful programs for our clients.

LLC Mentors support LLC students and communities through attending and hosting community builders, field trips, events and meetings. LLC Mentors interact with LLC students in formal and informal ways to help them connect to the Brockport Community. LLC Mentors work closely with LLC RAs, RDs and the Coordinator of LLCs to provide opportunities for students to get involved and achieve academic success.
