“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Nelson Mandela
In reflecting on the above quote, I believe that we ALL want to change our place for the better. Without education it can be very difficult to affect desired change. The Department of Recreation & Leisure Studies through the “Brockport Promise” will engage and immerse you in an educational experience which will stay with you always.
The department has a rich history of delivering the highest quality education for approximately forty years. The curriculum is diverse, we offer undergraduate concentrations in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Management, and now Tourism Management. At the graduate level we offer concentrations in Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation & Leisure Services Management. I invite you to explore the department through our website.
In acknowledging the fact that "student success is our number one priority", our exceptionally talented faculty demonstrate their dedication by providing a nurturing yet challenging learning environment, as well as guiding students through a rich learning experience comprising theory and practice. Do not hesitate to contact me personally at agraham@brockport.edu.
On behalf of the faculty and staff thank you for visiting our website, and I hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Arthur Graham
