Dr. Holly Perry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Recreation
and Leisure Studies.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Denison University in
Spanish and International Studies, she worked in the hospitality industry in various front office roles.She then began her graduate-level studies in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University, where she
earned her Master
of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
Before arriving at The College
at Brockport, Dr. Perry worked with adults with developmental disabilities as
the coordinator of recreation and volunteers at a nonprofit agency in Stamford, Connecticut. She also has professional experience in the field of aquatics, having served
for several years as a swim coach for Special Olympics and a
swim instructor for children with
physical and developmental disabilities. Her research interests focus on tourism, particularly urban tourism development and the socio-cultural impacts of tourism on local communities. She teaches courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
