Screen Room – Room 215

What's Available:

  • A 58” HDTV is available with a VCR and DVD Player.
  • A PC with Internet access is attached.
  • Cable Television connection
  • Comfortable chairs and sofas for approx. 15 people.
  • A large chalkboard on one wall.
  • A phone (585)395-5790

Who May Reserve the Room:

  • Faculty and instructors
  • Library staff
  • Groups of students engaged in specific course-related viewing with written permission of instructor

Reservations:

Uses and Functions:

The Screening Room can be reserved by faculty and staff for :

  • Any campus instruction and research activities
  • Library (information literacy and research) instructional activities
  • Faculty and/or staff development (webinars, instructional programming)

The Screening Room can be used ONLY for academic purposes. Use for recreational purposes violates copyright regulations regarding “public performance” of our library media.

The Screening Room is not intended to serve as a general classroom. The number of uses by a group or for an individual course during a single semester may be limited depending on the nature of the use and the current demand for the facility.

Responsibilities:

Users of the Screening Room are asked to leave the facilities, furniture and equipment in the condition and configuration in which they were found. Users of the room will be responsible for the security of the materials and equipment during their use. We reserve the right to limit food and beverages if problems occur.

Instructions for all equipment will be provided. Contact the HelpDesk at 395-5151 if you would like a run-through of the equipment prior to use.

Access to the Screening Room:

The door is locked at all times and the key is kept at the Circulation Desk. To use the room, stop at the Circulation Desk and a case with mouse, remote, and instructions will be checked out to you.

Hours of Availability during Fall and Spring semesters:

Monday – Thursday: 8am - 10pm

Friday: 8am - 5pm
