Help: Find Books

The Library catalog is an database of the library's holdings. In the Catalog, you can:

  • Find if the library has a book in which you're interested
    • by Author
    • by Title
    • by Subject
  • Find books on a smiliar topic
  • Find out when a book is due back, or if the book is currently on the shelf

To search the Catalog, click this link: http://delaware.sunyconnect.suny.edu:4370

Searching by SUBJECT will return books on that subject. However, the library uses a specific listing of subjects called the Library of Congress Subject Headings. The easiest way to find the subject you're looking for is:

  • Use an "All Fields" search for the keywords of your topic.
  • Click on the Title of a result that matches your interest.
  • Scroll down to the Subjects: area of the record.
  • Click "Go" to search for that subject.
