Thirty-one "blue-light" phones are installed throughout the campus in high-traffic interior and exterior areas. The phones provide immediate access to the State University Police desk officer and are used to report crimes and emergencies and to request escorts.
Up late studying in the library? Burning the midnight oil in a lab? Students can call the Escort Service and our officers or members of the Student Patrol will respond quickly to escort them to their cars or residence halls at any time. Call University Police or use a blue-light phone to request an escort.
Parents, family and students are encouraged to call or e-mail the helpline for answers, assistance or advice from an experienced and informed staff. Located in the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, the helpline is answered live, 8 am-5 pm weekdays. Call (585) 395-2796 or e-mail helpline@brockport.edu. "We don't know everything, but we know everyone who does."
University Police at SUNY Brockport is staffed by 16 certified police officers who have full powers of arrest. They patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on foot, in patrol cars, and on bicycles. In an emergency, call (585) 395-2222 or use a blue-light phone. For non-emergencies, call (585) 395-2226.
