Bmail refers to the sending of official College communications to you via your Brockport e-mail account. Brockport has established a policy recognizing e-mail as the official method of communication to students. Administrative offices across campus will increasingly begin using e-mail as a method to communicate important information to students. This policy is identified in the college's computing policies.
All students now receive communications from campus offices, such as Student Accounts, Financial Aid and Registration and Records, through Official Bmail Communication (Bmail). Bmail comes to you through your regular Brockport e-mail account with a subject line of “Official Bmail From …” and replaces mailed, hardcopy correspondence.
Be sure to check your campus e-mail account regularly. Also, ensure that your e-mail software accepts e-mail from firstname.lastname@example.org.
