Bomgar

Bomgar remote session software allows a technician to view and control your computer, but only if you allow them to. This can eliminate miscommunication and result in a quicker solution to the problem.

Note: Bomgar is used to support College Owned Equipment, NOT PERSONAL COMPUTERS

Below are instructions on how to run Bomgar for either PC or Mac:

PC Users

1. Go to https://remote.brockport.edu/

2. Click the appropriate representative's NetID

3. Click “Run” when prompted. You may have to do this twice.

4. Click “Allow shared control of your computer”

5. Click the “Full Terms & Conditions” link, then click “Accept”

6. After your problem has been resolved, click on the large red X and click “Yes” when asked to end the session and remove software.

Mac Users

1. Go to https://remote.brockport.edu/

2. Click the appropriate representative's NetID

3. Click on the Bomgar remote session file in the downloads directory

4. Click the “B” icon to start the support session

5. Click “Open”

6. Click “Allow shared control of your computer”

7. To end the session, click on the large red X

8. When prompted, click “Yes” then “OK” to confirm ending the session
