First Steps for Library, Information & Technology Services

It's important that you know your different College at Brockport accounts as soon as possible. They are:

  1. Web Banner – Accept financial aid, register for courses, pay your bill
  2. NetID – Wi-Fi, computer labs, ANGEL, apply for a parking permit
  3. Google Apps – Your Brockport email account.

How do I reset my NetID and Google Apps passwords?

There are two ways of resetting your NetID passwords:

How do I submit a help ticket?

Do I need to buy a specific type of computer?

No, almost all computers and tablets are supported on our network. For our recommendations, look here: Minimum Hardware Requirements

Does Brockport have wireless internet?

Yes, all dorms, administrative, and academic buildings have wireless internet! You can even print from your laptop over the wireless network.

Do I need to purchase a printer for my dorm room?

It is not necessary because Brockport has labs all over campus with printers, but it is highly recommended.

How can I print from home?

To print to a lab printer from a laptop open a browser and go to http://printers.brockport.edu/app. Using your NetID and Password you can print to any network lab printer.

Does Brockport have a printing policy?

Yes, we allow students to print 300 double-sided pages, or 450 single-sided pages per semester for free.

What kind of software is FREE to students at Brockport OnTheHub?

Students can currently download the newest version of Microsoft Office and the operating systems Windows 7 & Windows 8 for FREE.

VLAB - This program allows Brockport students access to our campus lab computers from home. Once this program is installed, the user can simply log in and utilize any of our PC software programs!
