Please note: This list is only a partial listing of web search engines that exist. If you need help, please contact the Library Reference Desk.
To perform a search, simply type some words that reflect what you are looking for in one of the boxes and click the "Search" button to the right of that box. Each box will return results from a different search engine on the Internet. To go to the search engine's home page where you can often find more search options and help about that specific search engine, simply click the name of the search engine, which is underlined to the left of each box.
Most search engines allow you to be even more specific by using phrases or specific words to include or exclude by adding certain operators to your search string. These are extremely powerful tools that can be very useful.
