Advice for LLC Student/First Year Student: Getting involved on campus is the number one thing I suggest. Work study jobs, clubs & organizations, athletics, or tutoring are just a few examples of opportunities available here at Brockport that you should take advantage of.  College is about learning, building a network, and gaining experience. Any of the opportunities may help set you apart from other applicants when applying for grad school or future job. Also it is very important to have fun.  Classes, jobs, or athletics may stress you out so it is important that you have time to relax and take your mind off of them for a while.

Do not skip class, it is one of the number one reasons for failure in a course.  Don’t avoid a course because it seems difficult, you will not earn a degree in the business area without hard work and dedication!
