Recreation & Fitness Professionals


The Recreation & Fitness Living Learning Community is designed for freshmen and transfer students with less than 25 credits who are planning careers within recreation or fitness fields. If you've worked with summer camps, parks and recreation departments, or are interested in planning group fitness activities for a living, this might be a community for you! Related recreation or fitness academic programs might include:


 
  • Recreation & Leisure
  • Physical Education Teacher Education
  • Athletic Training
  • Sport Management
  • Coaching (minor)

Our students have enjoyed many adventurous activities such as:

  • Tandem biking on the canal
  • Rockventures Rockclimbing
  • Kayaking in Braddock Bay
  • Snow Tubing
  • Finess Challenges/Competitions
  • Attending dance performances
Rafting

Students went rock climbing at Rockventures, an indoor climbing facility in Rochester. rockclimbing

Dr. Lauren Lieberman took students on a five mile bike ride to Holley Falls along the Erie Canal. Many students rode tandem bikes for the first time! HFLC Biking
