Leadership and Community Serivce


The Leadership & Community Service LLC is for first-year students from a variety of majors who are interested in being involved in the Leadership Development Program. Students in this LLC may want to pursue leadership positions on campus, learn more about becoming a leader and get involved in community service projects.
Activities and Field Trips Include:
  • Green Leadership Certificate
  • Hamlin Beach & Erie Canal Cleanups
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Message in a Bottle
  • Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester
  • Mary's Place Outreach
  • Rochester City School District
  • Brockport Food Shelf

“The LLC got us doing projects with the rest of the residence hall and I got to meet a lot of new friends that way. I joined the LLC because leadership and community service were two things I did in high school and I felt they would help me in my future job. One in hall program we had was Message in a Bottle. I really like it when we put a message in a bottle in the beginning of the year. It gave me something to work towards and a goal for my first year in college and beyond.”

Encouraged to Apply: Students in this LLC should enjoy being involved in the community and are interested in developing their leadership skills, and participating in group community service projects.
