Leadership and Community Service- For Returning and Transfer Students


The Leadership & Community Service LLC is for first year students that have a variety of majors, and are interested in being involved in The Leadership Development Program. Students in this LLC may be interested in pursuing leadership positions on campus, want to learn more about becoming a leader and would like to get involved in community service projects.


Activities and Field Trips Include:

  • Hamlin Beach & Erie Canal Cleanups
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Message in a Bottle
  • Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester
  • Mary's Place Outreach
  • Rochester City School District
  • Brockport Food Shelf

By studying together community members will explore the lives and accomplishments of an array of distinguished community leaders, analyze a number of community-based projects, and reflect on the meaning and impact of democratic participation.

Encouraged to Apply: Students in this LLC should enjoy being involved in the community and are interested in developing their leadership skills, and participating in group community service projects.
