"Transitioning from combat to college is a unique and challenging experience. Veterans and military families understand the real cost of freedom, and how truly precious and rare it is. Bringing this understanding, sense of maturity, and life experiences into a collegiate environment is a unique battle in the sense that one may often feel they are alone in fighting it. However, networking and living beside others who share similar experiences, values, or points of view regarding our great nation's armed forces will help define your time at Brockport by the standards of excellence and camaraderie that we find among America's warriors." ~Brandon Nunnery, USMC, Class of 2013 |
