Assistant Professor Vacancy:

DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

Tenure-track assistant professorship in the Department of Mathematics beginning August 2014. Required: Doctorate in mathematics. ABD candidates must earn their doctoral degree within six months of appointment. Demonstrated expertise in Algebra. Applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching lower- and upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester assuming an active research program. Candidates must have the ability to establish and sustain a program of research, show potential for promoting/encouraging diversity through teaching/mentoring/research activities, and be able to work with individuals from a variety of communities and cultures.
