Financial Assistance

A limited number of graduate assistantships are available. These carry a stipend and remission of up to 18 credits of tuition per academic year. Assistantship duties require 15 hours of work per week. Additional information may be obtained from the Department office, the Office of Graduate Studies and the Financial Aid Office.

  • Information Technology Services offers a graduate assistantship (including tuition, stipend, requires 20 hours/week working for ITS)
  • Institutional Advancement also offers a graduate assistantship (including tuition, stipend, requires 20 hours/week working for IA)
  • College at Brockport, Metrocenter: (Student Services Graduate Assistantship) has a partial assistantship (tuition for up to 5 credits, $1500 stipend, requires 10 hourse/week)
  • Office of Campus Life offers a position for Student Event Programmer that includes a $3000 stipend and a single room.
  • Graduate Diversity Fellowship The fellowship provides a student with tuition waiver of nine (9) graduate credits each fall and spring semester and a yearly stipend of $7,500.  In exchange, the recipient is expected to work 15 hours per week in their academic department.
