Office of Marketing Communications

Services

The Office of Marketing Communications leads the College in clearly defining and actively stating the College's image as a quality institution by maintaining a consistent and constant message that creates "top of mind awareness" of the College on the part of the public. We do so by offering the following services:

 

  1. Marketing communications terminology
  2.  

  3. Marketing communications planning - situation analysis, strategies, tactics, timelines and budgets (see Event Marketing and Management). We can assist you in preparing your announcement(s) to get the most bang for your buck.

  5. Writing and Editing - brochures, posters, fact sheets, direct marketing materials, event marketing materials, press releases/media alerts, departmental recruitment materials, departmental newsletters (editing only) and departmental Web pages (editing only). This also includes print, radio and TV advertising.

  7. Media relations and faculty/staff expert referrals to media - developing and maintaining relationships with local and national media to place The College at Brockport and its faculty, staff, students and alumni in front of a mass (or highly targeted) audience.   9. Press conference planning - logistics, equipment needs, media releases and pre-conference preparation.

  10.  

  11. Major Publication management - catalogs, Statements, etc., Kaleidoscope and Kaleidoscope/Annual Report.
