The music program at The College at Brockport is committed to student scholarly and music performance success. The College’s Music Minor provides a range of academic courses that challenge students in music theory, history, piano or voice study, world music, ethnomusicology and folklore. Linked with the Arts for Children Program, the Music Specialty also offers students the option of a Bachelor’s degree that concentrates in music.
A wide variety of music ensembles provide ample performance opportunities throughout the semester. Students at The College will be able to continue their instrumental or vocal performance for credit through the Symphony Orchestra, Brockport Chorus, Gospel Choir, Saxophone, Clarinet, and Xylophone Ensembles, as well as through extra-curricular music ensembles.
