In fall 2012, construction began on the College's new Liberal Arts Building. The building, located adjacent to Drake Memorial Library and Alumni Walk, will be the new home for five academic departments in the School of The Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The space will include offices for the Dean and faculty as well as a variety of formal and informal learning environments for the Brockport campus community.

Total Project Cost
: Approximately $29.3 million
Size: Three floors; 61,000 square feet
Schedule:
Completed for the start of classes of the 2014 fall semester
Amenities: Technology enhanced learning environments to be utilized by all College programs and sized to support multiple configurations of seating to accommodate lecture, group discussions and team-based work; collaborative interaction zones; multi-panel video display wall at entrance
Sustainability
: Will be constructed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification with special features including a bio-retention pond, sun shading devices, bird friendly design applications and furniture made from trees that were on the building site
