First Fridays at The College at Brockport on March 7

Alumni House

Brockport, NY — The Alumni Association and the Alumni House Committee at The College at Brockport, State University of New York, continues First Fridays, a monthly program at the Alumni House, 142 Utica Street, in the Village of Brockport. The second in the series of First Friday events will take place March 7, 4 – 6 pm.

“Remembering Yesterday” is the theme for this month’s event. Various items will be on display, including yearbooks for individuals to look back at, and perhaps remember, the College’s rich and, of course memorable, past.

Sponsors for the March event are Wayne Prunner, from Day Automation Inc., Gavin Brownlie, from Crosby Brownlie Inc., and Carol ’61 and George Bott.

First Fridays offer a wonderful opportunity for individuals to gather and converse. More then 40 people attended February’s First Friday. Guests included College staff and faculty, Brockport alumni, and local community, including government officials from the Village of Brockport and business owners.

“Our goal is simple. We want to open Alumni House to the campus and community, have a place where people can relax and enjoy good food and friends, and celebrate the importance of keeping the Alumni House alive and active for those who continue to support it,” said Adam T. Standish, chair of the Alumni House Committee.

Additional First Fridays are scheduled for April 4 and May 2.
